	The Rapiscan Model 527 is an x-ray security inspection system designed for customers requiring secure inspections of checked baggage and small cargo. With a tunnel opening of 1000mm (39.4 inches) x 1000mm (39.4 inches), large size packages can be quickly and easily scanned. The Model 527 can be used as a standalone device or integrated into an existing baggage conveyor system with automatic detection capabilities (Target Option). Intel Pentium® computer technology is the driving force in all of our developments. Model 527 offers Crystal Clear™ as a standard feature and may be optionally equipped with Operator Training Program, Manual Image Archive and Enhanced Performance X-ray (EPX). EPX enables rapid and consistent detection capabilities, identifying material having specific characteristics of explosives and narcotics. Gold, currency and agricultural products can also be easily identified using EPX.
The Model 527 may also be configured with the following advanced options: Threat Image Projection (TIP): Provides real time operator training and performance monitoring. The system inserts threat objects at predefined settings and intervals, into otherwise clean bags allowing supervisors to monitor operator's response. Multiple language choices are available for on screen dialogue with the operator. Network Display Stations: This feature allows multiple x-ray units to be linked to a remote search area for additional review. TIPNET: Where many TIP systems are utilized in one location, TIPNET provides ease in management of multiple users, test schedule settings, downloading of data, etc. The Model 527 is part of the Rapiscan 500 Series product design, which offers a wide range of product configurations.
